Fair Go Trading Hemp Twine
Our Fair Trade artisans are located on a river in the village of Bagdha, District Barisal in Bangladesh. The women who work for the enterprises are widows, divorcees or head-of-households with little or no income. Many work in teams out of their homes to handspin the hemp twine. It's handmade and great for craft, schools, and the home.
The artisans began making jute and hemp rope and twine in 1982. Support for this project improves the women's standard of living and provides necessary income for their families.
